Life is good up here in Orlando. Work is keeping me really busy. I don't have any trips planned for the rest of the year. I did not get to make the trip to DUBAI. They decided to cut back the amount of people going and I was on that cut-back-list.

It still has been an AMAZING year, with the graduation from UCF, to getting to go to Switzerland and then Paris. Along with the many cities throughout this country I have gotten to check off my list.

I also have been freelancing the past couple of months for WMFE-TV the PBS station here in Orlando as a Final Cut Editor. Here is the link. It’s a weekly half-hour show on the Arts in Central Florida.

On the week of the 18th show I cut the first package on Saks and when Thursdays show is released, I cut 2 packages one on "Pin Up Art” and the other on a Breast Cancer Calendar for the year. Both I felt turned out really nice.

It’s been a learning experience working with them. They shoot XDCAM HD, which is a disk based "TAPE" this is true HD. So the segments are also cut in HD on Final Cut Pro. This is the first project that I have worked on that is true HD. The producer is also very good. She has worked all over the county and did news for 12 years in Denver then did another 12 years freelancing with High Noon. They do a lot of stuff for FOOD and HGTV networks. It has been really great to be inspired by the way she likes things cut.

On an equipment note, we demo-ed the new Broadcast pix Switcher. http://www.broadcastpix.com/ to take out and do Multi Camera Golf Tournaments with. It is a very cool system. Its a Switcher, CG (Inscriber), 2 Logo Stores, 2 Still Stores, a Video Playback system so you can have all your "roll ins" in the system and with the cut key it will take it to air and roll the package. Very, Very cool system.

Well that’s it for me. Matt Messenger
